The story of Papa Agustin de Cuba begins in late nineteenth-century Cuba, where the brand earned an early following among discerning cigar enthusiasts—including a young Winston Churchill. In 1895, Churchill arrived on the island as an ambitious British lieutenant during Cuba's War of Independence. It was there that he developed both the military resolve that would define his future and a lifelong appreciation for the artistry of handmade cigars.
More than 130 years later, Papa Agustin de Cuba carries that enduring legacy forward from the Dominican Republic, honoring its Cuban roots while embracing a new chapter of craftsmanship and excellence.
